International Code for Application of Fire Test Procedures

New test

The compatibility of dry powder with foam for fire extinguishing purposes in accordance with annex K of the recently published edition of the norm EN 615:2009 is possible to be tested by MPA Dresden GmbH now.

New versatile test rig

The MPA Dresden GmbH has a new test rig. This test rig offers a multiplicity of testing possibilities:

• Measurement of smoke density of cables burning under defined conditions (DIN EN 50268; IEC 61034 part 2)
• Tests for electric cables under fire conditions - Circuit integrity (IEC 60331 part 21)
• Furniture - Assessment of the ignitability of upholstered furniture according to DIN EN 1021
• Test with a pad of paper on seats of railway vehicles according to E DIN 5510 part 2
• Furniture - Assessment of the ignitability of mattressess and upholstered bed bases according to DIN EN 597 part 1 and 2

New accreditation

The MPA Dresden GmbH has extended their accreditation as an independent and a professional test laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 with a multiplicity of test procedures and offers to their clients an improved international acceptance of the test results.
